After you open the gate, go upstairs and head straight.

Once you reach the end of that path, you have to turn right to advance in the game. But instead of turning right, go to the edge and look down to find a locked chest. Inside that locked chest we got this rare weapon which has pretty high stats and can easily kill the lost.

Weapons in Code Vein are equipment that players use to deal damage to enemies. There are five main categories of melee weapons, which can be swapped on the fly via the game's systems, and upgraded to enhance their capabilities. Much like Dark Soulsweapons in Code Vein can block damage, have parameters, stat requirements and elemental capabilities.

Since you can level up multiple classes simultaneously and swap weapons on the fly, players can choose a specific weapon for each specific levelenemy or boss encounter. Each piece of equipment has stats requirements and weight.

Exceeding your weight limit restricts your ability to dodge attacks. Not meeting the stat requirements greatly reduces your attack power. Equipment can be changed from the menu screen. Both main weapon and sub weapon can be equipped. These weapons can be switched without opening the menu.

Easy to use, versatile, shorter range but fast attacks and balanced damage. So, elements. No idea what that extra 30 is for. I really wish they had some kinda katana variant in the game.

I mean they have a bunch hung up by the weapons shop. I hate when games do that. Are there just not fist weapons in this game?

I always run fists in Souls games, so if there aren't any fist weapons Also: do not claim dark souls have blood codes, i had to correct such a silly mistake on here. Please stop spreading misinformation about Blood VeilsThese Gifts aren't free, however, and gaining them comes with a need to drink blood.

Additionally, many of them require power taken from blood, known as Ichor, to activate. An all-rounder with solid stats for both melee and caster characters, the GXH Assault is a Veil that's all about using Gifts to their full potential. As an Ivy-style Veil, the GXH can be used to drain enemies from long range with a precision-targeted attack. It also looks pretty impressive, which is an added bonus for those playing co-op in Code Vein.

The GXH Assault can be found early in the game. It's a little awkward to have to include the Venous Claw in this guide, given that it's only available to those who pre-ordered the game.

Even so, the Ogre-type Veil's sheer power makes it hard to ignore. For caster-style or hybrid characters who focus on Dark Gifts, like those found in the Isis Blood Code, there is no better choice than the Venous Claw for almost the entire game.

Although its Willpower scaling is slightly lower than some competitors, it more than makes up for it with a huge boost to Dark Gift damage. A Stinger-type Veil fashioned from a trenchcoat that fits well in the anime-inspired Code Veinthe Night Spear balances lower stat-scaling with a powerful drain effect. Compared to other Veils, its stats are a little lackluster, but with a strong boost to Light Gifts and the speed of its Stinger, it can be a powerhouse in the right build.

The route isn't clear of enemies, so players and their Code Vein Partners should be ready for a fight. Share Tweet Email 0. Overall, there are five types of weapons in Code Veinmost of which fall into the melee category such surprise. Since those are the most powerful weapons in the game, this guide mostly covers those melee weapons, from swords to hammers. However, there is one especially useful bayonet included the nine weapons below. The most durable melee weapon in the game is undoubtedly the Zweihander. This two-handed sword was made to slay large monsters. Although it may not be super effective during boss fights since it's a bit slowit's fantastic against regular enemies.

Zweihander can be obtained either from the chest in the Ruined City Center or by paying 3, Haze to Rin Murasame, who is in front of the vault at Home Base.

Oni Bane is like Zweihander's younger brother. It's a little faster and just as brutal when it comes to damage.

This weapon is perfect for killing bosses and other mobile enemies. It matches very well with the Venous Claw blood veil.

You can get this weapon by grinding 50 trade points, and then giving them to Yakumo Shinonome, one of the three available companions at the Depths: Town of Sacrifice. Check the list of guide links at the bottom of this article to learn more about trade points in our Code Vein gifts and valuables guide. Hammers are similar to greatswords in maneuverability, but their attack power, at times, can be far more devastating, especially with charged attacks.

The Burned Warhammer deals fire damage in addition to a physical attack, which can be really effective against certain types of enemies. This weapon cannot be purchased. Mind, there are two Lost Assassins protecting the chest. The Huge Hammer is not as fancy as the Burned Warhammer with its fire elemental damage, and it's a lot heavier. Due to the raw physicality of this beast weapon, its overall attack power is twice as much as any other hammer in the game.

You can't buy this weapon from an NPC. If you want to get hold of it, you'll need to descend into the Ashen Cavern at the Cathedral of the Sacred Blood. This weapon is exceptionally well-balanced. When paired with the proper blood veil, such as Prometheus, it's extremely powerful. The only other sword that can match Enduring Crimson is Hanemukuro, which has even more mobility. However, it will fit only pure Dexterity builds. Usually, the strategy is to use Hanemukuro in the early- to mid-game, and then switch to Enduring Crimson in the late-game.

It is found in the Bottomless Shore in Howling Pit. Go right at the mistle fork and at the end, you will see a chest guarded by a Lost. The sword is inside the chest. Bardiche is a universal halberd for Dexterity builds. It is capable of carrying you through most of the game.

Bardiche has many upsides: it deals more damage than the one-handed sword, and it weighs a lot less than a two-handed greatsword.

Black Halberd also fits Dark Knight with the Halberd Mastery passive ability, which will allow you to breeze through most of the bosses in the game. This jet-black polearm can be acquired by grinding Lost Knight enemies. When it comes to combat, each companion has their own Blood Code, meaning they have different strengths in a fight.

Check out our Code Vein builds guide to learn more about them. Travel back to your home base from any Mistle the save points on the map while exploring. How does each companion stack up and how do you know which one to take to a fight? Louis is initially able to deal out more damage than the player character.

Louis makes heavy use of his Blade Dance and Fire Storm abilities for dealing damage both while exploring and during boss fights. If you need a breather, focus on dodging enemy attacks and Louis will often deal enough damage to keep enemies occupied. Louis does well with the Butterfly of Delirium boss who deals a lot of potential venom damage.

Yakumo is your second available companion. Yakumo is a great companion for a player character using a ranged build like the Ranger or Caster. His ability to guard against heavy enemy attacks means that he often retains enemy focus, giving you the opening to go for backstabs or take ranged shots from further away. Yakumo leans heavily on one of his active Gifts called Foulblood Barrier which reduces incoming damage for both you and him for a period of time.

He also makes good use of a Gift called Guard Reversal which allows him to stagger enemies after guarding against them. Yakumo came particularly in handy against the Invading Executioner boss.

The Executioner moves quickly and deals out a lot of raw damage without too many status effects. Yakumo is great at absorbing those hits and parrying when possible so that you can both land some extra damage. Mia is the third available party member after you meet her in the Howling Pit. Mia is partial to her active Gift called Fusillade Rondo that fires a barrage of purple homing projectiles.

She will also usually use Bloodsucking Blades at the beginning of a fight which temporarily increases the drain rating of your weapon attacks. Weapon drain comes into play when you backstab, parry, or charge a weapon attack. Be sure to make good use of these combos while adventuring with Mia, especially when you spot the Bloodsucking Blades status effect that looks like a serrated blade.

Additionally, combining this style of play with the Gift Final Journey gives the player a competitive advantage…if they can kill their prey before their timer runs out…. First up is the most obvious one: Ranger. Upgrade this to Prometheus as soon as you can. Queenslayer is the recommended Blood Code for this Build. Final Journey will boost your attacks significantly, but will eventually kill you. It lasts about 3 minutes, giving you plenty of time to kill Bosses, and is the primary reason we use Queenslayer for this Build.

The other is Circulating Pulsewhich hits 5 times in rapid succession without using Stamina! Your Blood Code and Blood Veil work together to determine how strong your buffs are, with your Weapon having no impact here. The best defense is a good offense with this Build, so go hard or go home! I like to use Blazing Claw late game as it hits hard and has fantastic Scaling. Adding Stun to the Weapon will allow you to apply the Stun Status Effect faster when combined with Numbing Markwhich can make all the difference in the world.

These two things work together to give you a real shot at perma-stunning enemies on the regular, so make sure you have both. Gifts play a vital part of any Build, but even more so in a build that relies heavily upon them, like this one.

You can only have 4 Passive Gifts equipped at one time, and 8 Active. This Build is surprisingly efficient when it comes to Ichor. Between Blood Sacrifice and the repeated strikes you do, you should have no problem having enough Ichor for all your buffs and your Skill Gifts. We do not use Debuff Build-Up though you would think it would be best for this type of Build. Either use items to bypass the XP needed or use them and get there quickly, but spend some time to get them either way.

This Build is much more effective with all its parts, and you may struggle otherwise.

I enjoy gaming, playing and watching sports, cooking yummy food, watching a good movie and hanging out with Fex. For Opportunism, does the extra damage only applies when enemy is paralysed or as long as they have paralysis mark on after you attack them?

Does the extra damage from Opportunism only applies when enemy is stunned or as long as they have status ailment mark on them building up after you landed the first hit on them?

Queenslayer Queenslayer is the recommended Blood Code for this Build. Opportunism — This passive will increase your damage against enemies that have a negative Status Effect, which works perfectly here.

Use it when necessary to gain more Ichor. Circulating Pulse — This 5 hit combo requires no Stamina and helps to inflict Stun quickly. Phantom Assault — This Gift is a great way to open vs.

Jemco exhaust

Stun Shot — A great way to pull a single enemy and prep them for Stun. Numbing Mark — A must for this Build, it will apply even more Stun than your Weapon, so you need to use it with regularity. That is nothing to sneeze at and adds 90 seconds to Final Glory, for a total of 4.
